Lurk, post-whatever you like! Its all about the music, even though about once a month it seems things go awry for a bit. At some point when we get confused we just go back and listen to the music play. Good observations. Have you caught one of the groks yet? They tend to be good times and great shows. Glad to have ya around.

Grok is from a scifi book by Heinlein called Stranger in a Strange Land. It means something like "essence of knowledge". It is a good name for the group listening because it has to do with understanding and group consciousness. Or something like that, its been a long time since I read it.

Sounds like a good time, it just depends on the time of day. I don't have a good internet connection at the house so I use my PC at work w/ a pair of headphones. Work can afford a T1 line - I can't afford a cable modem or dsl hookup. I'm in Michigan so I can usually tune out between around 10am - 4pm depending on how many meetings I have to go to etc.. But thanks for the explanation.

So where does everyone else live?

too bad about modumz. Now you realise the possibilities.
Time to get the priorities in line, so many downloads...so little time. Work on a whey to git DSL or whatever the stuff is other than dialup-with a prayer to Saint Jerry Peace

Grok comes from a book by Robert Heinlein "Stranger in a strange land" A word meaning "to understand completely"

I know weird random knowlege, but there you go.
